Site Visit: Barrio Logan/Glashaus

The Glashaus is an artist collective warehouse located in San Diego, California's Barrio Logan neighborhood founded by sculptors Greg Brotherton and Matt Devine. The space includes sculptors, painters, photographers,
furniture, jewelry and clothing designers.
Misson: To bring together working artists of various media, thereby generating a unique energy which benefits all Glashaus artists in the creative process.
The Glashaus serves the San Diego arts community by housing several commercial art and independent studios spaces. The following text, which advertised two available office and studio spaces, was collected from the Glashaus Facebook page:
These are clean, professional art and/or creative spaces.
The new space is a 300+ sf studio with attached office with a small office attached. $500/month. Ready November 1.

Second space is a 400+ sf upper studio. $575/month. Ready now.

Both spaces are in the Glashaus building and include free internet, electricity, and trash. Secured building. Supportive art community.

The Glashaus also includes the The Device Gallery, which exhibits work that embraces the spirit of invention and ingenuity. Drawn to the juxtaposition between the classical and the unusual, the gallery features work bound by artistry and skill, rather than genre or medium. Established by Gregory and Amy Brotherton, in San Diego, California, whose combined 35 years of experience in fine and commercial art brings a unique perspective to The Device Gallery. A self-taught fine artist, Greg has spent the past 20 years honing his skills as a sculptor while forging a successful and award winning career as a commercial artist in the film industry. Amy’s extensive experience in event planning, fundraising and public relations has provided her the opportunity to work with some of the most celebrated and distinguished artists, writers and filmmakers of our time.
